How do I connect the Power BI template to ADOIT?
To connect your Power BI template to your ADOIT installation, follow these steps:
Activate Basic Auth
As a prerequisite, Basic Auth must be activated for ADOIT. If you are unsure if that is the case, please consult your ADOIT administrator.
A guide on how to activate Basic Auth can be found here.
Enter Base URL
With Basic Auth activated, open the free template file to connect to your ADOIT installation.
A window pops up asking you to enter your REST Base URL.
Enter the web URL of your ADOIT installation. You find this URL in your browser's address bar when accessing ADOIT.
Add "/rest/2.0/" to the URL.
Your complete REST Base URL should now look like this: http://examplehost/ADOIT14_0/rest/2.0/
Power BI will now pull the ADOIT data directly from the ADOIT installation. This ADOIT installation of course must be running to receive live data.
